Please check back for the 2023/2024 school year starting September 2023.
Dear Legacy Eagle Families and Friends,
It has been my joy and privilege to teach and be principal at Legacy Christian over the last 10 years. We enjoyed some great times together. Sometimes, however, things don’t work out the way we hoped or planned.
As of a couple weeks ago, the decision was made to not reopen the school this Fall. Going into the last week of school, we were able to inform the current school families, but now want to let the wider community know.
There are several groups I would like to thank who made our school possible:
First off, I would like to thank the body of CC Pocatello. We are very thankful for your financial and prayer support over the years.
Secondly, I would like to thank the parents and grandparents who sent their children to our school. We didn’t have the flashiest extra curricular programs or facilities, but you still found a way financially and entrusted your children to us, knowing that they would be instructed in the ways of the Lord.
Thirdly, I would like to thank our staff and volunteers that sacrificed so much to be here and make this school work. Without Mrs. Hall in the office, I would have lost my sanity. Having Mrs. Garcia and Ms. Deatherage in the classrooms gave me peace of mind knowing the children were in good hands. Miss Davis was a huge blessing (covering many of the tasks that I would have done otherwise), keeping the school clean, teaching PE, covering lunch and recess, and also subbing when needed. Mr. Murray was a huge blessing in the lunchroom. Mrs. Klassen’s love for the students showed no bounds as she tutored them. And lastly, without Mrs. Emerson helping me with just about every aspect of the school, we probably would not have made it past the first year of me being principal. From decorations, to fundraisers, to field trips, to curriculum and just about everything in between, my wife was a huge part of keeping the school functioning, even though she wasn’t always physically there.
Thank you all for being part of Legacy Christian School.
